Jacques Lavoisier is a musician, composer, producer and DJ – but Jacques is a musician with a twist. During the day, he is a Professor and a world-renowned behavioural and brain scientist who has (co-)authored more than 100 publications and conducted cutting-edge research on rhythm and the brain, sensorimotor coordination, social interactions and decision-making. From 1993 to 2001, Jaques Lavoisier was a successful resident DJ in France (his country of origin) and in Barcelona. In 2001, he moved to Miami where he played DJ sets and live shows with vintage synthesizers in art galleries, clubs, hotel lounges and private parties. His music careerreally took off in 2004, after being named amongst the highlights of Miami’s Winter Music Conference with his band the lavoisier x-perience.[/expand]
After keeping his scientific and musical lives separated for more than a decade, he decided to combine his expertise in brain sciences with his passion for electronic music to create the ultimate musical and multisensory experience.[/expand]
