Former Vice-President of the European Commission in charge of
Enterprise and Industry
Prof. Günter Verheugen is a leading expert on European policy making. From 2004 to 2010 he was the Vice-President of the European Commission, in charge of Enterprise and Industry, he served as European Commissioner for Enlargement and was one of five Vice-Presidents of the 27-member Barroso Commission. Since 2010 Prof. Verheugen has held a Honorary Professorship at the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt and is the founder of the consultancy European Experience Company.
