Amy Cuddy
Social Psychologist, Associate Professor Harvard Business School
Amy Cuddy is Associate Professor and Hellman Faculty Fellow in the Negotiation, Organizations & Markets Unit at Harvard Business School. She is a social psychologist and her work has looked at how we perceive and are seen by others. Her research reveals that we can change other people’s perceptions and even our own body chemistry simply by changing body positions. Her recent work also focuses on how we embody and express competence and warmth, linking our body language to our feelings, physiology and behaviour.

Amy holds a PhD in Psychology from Princeton University and a BA in Psychology from the University of Colorado. She was an Assistant Professor at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. At Harvard, Amy teaches MBA, executive education and doctoral courses on influence & persuasion, leadership and decision making. In 2014, she was named WEF Young Global Leader and Business Insider chose her in 2013 as one of the 50 Women Who Are Changing The World. Her article Connect, Then Lead was one of Harvard Business Review’s ideas that Shaped Management in 2013.[/expand]
