Economist, Nobel Prize Winner 2011
Christopher Sims is an American econometrician and macroeconomist. He is currently the John F. Sherrerd University Professor of Economics at Princeton University. Together with Thomas Sargent, he won the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences in 2011. The award cited their “empirical research on cause and effect in the macroeconomy”. He has published numerous important papers in his areas of research: econometrics and macroeconomic theory and policy.

Alvin Roth is the Craig and Susan McCaw Professor of Economics at Stanford University and the Gund Professor of Economics and Business Administration Emeritus at Harvard University. Alvin Roth has made significant contributions to the fields of game theory, market design and experimental economics, and is known for his emphasis on applying economic theory to solutions for “real-world” problems. Thomas J. Sargent is Professor of Economics at New York University and a Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University. He earned his Nobel Prize in economics in 2011 for his research on cause and effect in the macro economy.
